I helped our little Volunteer Fire Department deliver boxes of food to needy families in the area today and then rushed home to chop vegetables for tonight’s open house for friends and neighbors following candlelight services at church. Having a taco bar and sangria for the open house. Feliz Navidad!

I'm alone for Christmas for the first time ever (my Mom passed away last month) and my daughter and grandkids are 1200 miles away. So I had a bowl of broccoli cheese soup for dinner. Tomorrow will be better as I'll be able to Skype with my daughter and will be able to see the grands open their gifts. Then it will be leftover spaghetti for dinner. Life does go on....

I thought I had finished the last of the Korean barbecued chicken but I looked in the refrigerator and found out (much to my delight) I still had some, so I had that, along with a side of brown rice.
Kale and broccoli salad
Iced tea

Thinking of you this holiday season, Merry Christmas AmazinGracie.

Our dinner tonight was a bit disappointing, but at least we ate. I think next year we're doing something different--- like an Italian themed Christmas Eve dinner
