Typical St. Paddy's dinner tonight corned beef, fried cabbage, potatoes, beer for hubby, champagne for me and a pistachio pound cake with tinted green frosting.
I'm making Almrausch's meatloaf, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Jar o'gravy for DH. Trying to kill off a bottle of red wine to use in one of the bird feeders (the seed goes in the upside down bottle).
Turns out, hubby can detect ketchup in a recipe, even after a few Manhattans. That's OK, he's grateful for whatever I feed him. Anyway, I enjoyed it, and he still ate a lot, and will have a few sandwiches.
skillet dinner of smoked Greek style lamb sausage & cauliflower with raisins, capers oregano, lemon juice & onions, finished with fresh mint & parsley and topped with crumbled feta. Sounds a little crazy but tasted pretty dang tasty.
