Typical St. Paddy's dinner tonight corned beef, fried cabbage, potatoes, beer for hubby, champagne for me and a pistachio pound cake with tinted green frosting.

Turns out, hubby can detect ketchup in a recipe, even after a few Manhattans. That's OK, he's grateful for whatever I feed him. Anyway, I enjoyed it, and he still ate a lot, and will have a few sandwiches.

Today it rained, hailed, snowed and rained again. A good day to stay inside and eat some comfort food. Which tonight is:

Cottage roll, mashed taters with a generous dollop of sour cream and lots of butter, various mustards for dipping.

Washed down with an icy Lowenbrau.

Or two...ish....

Try not to hate me.

skillet dinner of smoked Greek style lamb sausage & cauliflower with raisins, capers oregano, lemon juice & onions, finished with fresh mint & parsley and topped with crumbled feta. Sounds a little crazy but tasted pretty dang tasty.
