Even though it's a hot day, I was going to cook ... but then our power went out. So DH and I went to weaving class (he was mostly decorative, though he did help with heavy lifting, lol), and then picked up Buffalo chicken tenders and a very interesting slaw for dinner.

Tenders for the win. My power went out for 5 days last year. I cooked for about 48 hours straight...until I could no longer see straight and had to fall asleep. The gas stove, grill and coolers saved a lot of food.

today starts the canning season officially so dinner will be simple: I have a pizza from Aldi's in the fridge; think that is dinner. Maybe I will make a small salad as well. Spoiled brat will still expect a decent dinner even if my legs are about to fall off.

Tonight I'm going out for a meal here

The Bengal Restaurant

It's my favourite Indian restaurant or curry house as they are known here..... I'm thinking the mixed grill which consists of....

Chicken curry, rice, chicken/lamb tikka starter, skeek kebab, vegetable curry, quarter of tandoori chicken with salad and keema naan bread ....

And I'm guessing a swimming pool worth of King kobra ( Indian lager )

Ugh, 5 days? That's horrible. Our power's back on, but the AC is now out. Hopefully, they'll be able to fix it today (the blower motor won't come on).

Dinner tonight is TBD. Probably salad.

Thinning out the herd aka cleaning out freezer. Probably fajitas with hot, hot chicken thighs and lots of vegetables, green salad. Peach pie. I thought I had too much fruit but it settled nicely. Cut a slice and it smells peachy:>)

Roast Beef on rye sammich, sea salt and black pepper tater chips, with a cold glass of lemonade. Yes, I know it's not healthy, but it tastes good.

A couple of Gorton's Pub Style Beer Battered Cod Filets. I plan to make tartar sauce, and to serve it with some kind of cheesy noodle type side dish.

I am baking a fresh blueberry pie right now. Still haven't got a clue about the rest of the dinner.
