Well our last nights brisket was not quite smoked enough so we had pork steak instead. Tonight, well long story short; when I checked the brisket last night I forgot to close the smoker door and the damn thing caught on fire. Spoiled brat was on the phone. Had he not been he would have checked it and not been as careless as me. Anyway with a box of salt, etc we got the flames out, but what a mess the meat was and is. I did cut into it last night, I think there is enough worth saving for a meal or two. Thus tonight will be well smoked brisket, fruit salad and asparagus.

It's rainy and a little chilly here. That makes my decision to feed my craving for stuffed shells not so bad. We will have that and a garden salad.
Have a great Tuesday!!!

We are both so sick of these leftover meats and raw vegetables, from camping, I could just scream.
I'm dicing up the roast beef and throwing it in the food processor with some onions and potatoes for roast beef hash. Will sneak a few carrots in there, too.
Am going to dice up the turkey and saute up with some onions and potatoes, make a little gravy for turkey pot pie. Will toss broccoli, cauliflower, celery and carrots in the food processor and sneak it into the pie.
That just leaves a little ham left. Even thought it's hotter than blazes, I think I'll dice it up for split pea soup. Should take care of the rest of the celery and carrots too.
I am not cooking again until all the above is gone! My fridge will be nice and clean though! *smiley face*

We have a lot of ham and sides left from last night's dinner. I'm going to freeze most of it, but tonight we're having:
Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches
Black-eyed pea and cabbage soup and
Apple and Pear pie for dessert.
