It's been well over 100 and will continue to be for the next 7 days. If I have anything aside from water, ice tea and fruit, I'd be amazed. Have to force myself since I had to see Dr yesterday. She said sinus and ear infection, bronchitis and asthma all due to the pollen levels, so I have a boat load of meds to take. Oh boy!!

SO threw dinner plans last night and we ended up with fajitas (chicken, black beans, onion, bell pepper and the first hot pepper out of his pot garden).

Outside feels like a sauna after last night's storm.

Chicken fingers, green salad, fresh bread, watermelon.

Pollen's killing us here, too. Well, not the cats. They seem to be allergy-free, lucky buggers. Bet Cocoa is, too.

Dinner tonight is likely to be something very easy. DH is getting tired of cooking. I'm thinking sandwiches.

Pollen is bad here but luckily none of us people are affected. Now my poor dog (Shepherd/Doberman mix) is in misery. Right now she is living on benedryl but she's scheduled for an allergy shot Monday. Wishing those affected a quick season!

Tonight I'll make up for yesterday's fish sticks. I made a stock from the beer can chicken carcass. This afternoon I'll make a hearty chicken noodle soup from the stock.

Happy Friday!!

other than itchy eyes and a few other complaints my allergies are not too bad right now: spoiled brat is constantly clearing his throat. And yes, we have the humidity, but our temps are a little lower than yours. We are trying to keep meals small. Tonight chicken thighs, one each, fruit and probably asparagus. That's it unless I end up adding something small.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hope you are feeing better soon!!!! Allergies are AWFUL - luckily, husband and I haven't been hit THAT bad this year yet, but I'm sure once fall rolls around we'll be a couple of miserable beasts. With your weather so awful on top of it, I just feel horrible for you!!! I wish I could send you some Italian Ice - the Cherry ones always make me feel a TINY bit better when it's that miserable. Hugs!!!

Oh yea. Edited to add dinner. I don't know. Going to the grocery store - we'll decide then. Although I really do have a hankering for a gyro, and the gyro place IS an outbuilding in the lot where the grocery store is, so one could conceivably say that the Gods of City Planning have almost ORDAINED that I should get a gyro since it's right there and all and SO convenient, and that's how I'm going to try selling it to the husband anyway. Wonder if it'll fly?

Tonight, I think we will probably get pizza takeout. Maybe from Papa John's.
