When I went to college in New England I was ufamiliar with New England Pot Pies before eating at a Boston restaurant and better - at the home of one of my room mates. The only Pot Pies I'd had before were chicken. Sheltered world I inhabited.
At my friend's house, I was introduced to individual New England Pot Pies - and given the recipe by her grandmother.
These are DELISH! Filled with cod filet , diced clams, celery, onions, a cream sauce with with wine, thyme, sage parsley, garlic and topped with a puff pastry crust.
Serving with a chopped salad with walnuts and cranberries.
Comfort food macaroni & beef casserole. My little sister had a stroke yesterday. She is in the ICU on a ventilator.
Sending all good thoughts of healing and hope for your sister and your family. I know how it feels to have a loved one in ICU on vent. My mom was in that predicament for three whole weeks in 2001, due to an autoimmune disorder. May your sister recover fast and well. <3

As for dinner tonight, I'm waiting for my date to pick me up. Not sure what restaurant we are going to but I'm sure steak will be involved with this guy.
