American Chop Suey tonight. My oregano is still growing, so I'll tart it up with some fresh herbs.

Me - biscuits and gravy.
Chester - the last of the leftover steak and potato. Maybe half of a biscuit.
Husband - I don't know.

Tomorrow - baked tilapia (in foil packets like I usually make) and risotto with cheese and broccolini. The risotto is an Alessi mix, but it looked and souned really good - if I like it, I'll spend the time and energy figuring out how to make it myself. For two bucks, though, I'll try the mix first - fast and easy!!

Basically a chip shop here is fast food and because it's London it's now all halal meat, so battered sausage, saveloy, kebabs, etc are not the same. And the cod is not much better ( around me ).

However there is one that's just opened up that only serve fish and no meat and it's absolutely fresh and lovely as it comes and it stands out a mile from the rest as its a traditional English family run business.

This one cost me £9 ( $14 )( sorry I was not being literate with the worlds most expensive LOL ) but usually it would cost about £6 ($9 ) for a meal anywhere else. Obviously a restaurant would cost a hell of a lot more but the one in question is awesome as you would say over there

No, I agree that $9 is reasonable, but $14 would need to be really special.
