How and where do you store your potatoes and onions? (buy, ginger)

I always have trouble and usually don't buy bags and buy them just when I need them because they are hard to store.

As long as it's cool outside I store potatoes in my dutch oven in the garage. When it gets too warm to do that I try to buy smaller quantities also.

Wish I had a root cellar.

In a bowl on the countertop. I rarely have more than a couple weeks supply of onions or potatoes on hand.

Bowl on the countertop, along with the garlic and shallots. None of them are in bags.

I store potatoes in a bucket covered with a towel and I store onions in a bucket in the pantry. Don't store the potatoes and the onions in the same place or the onions will make the potatoes spoil faster.

Onions are in the net bag in the fridge. Potatoes I buy when I'm going to use them.

A basket on the counter top. I don't buy many potatoes, but I buy tons of onions.

I have containers that sit on top of each other and that way I store my potatoes,onions,ginger and garlic
Growing up my parents had a root cellar,actually almost everyone had one in the village.
