I usually always have cereal in the mornings and have mixed Fiber One with Raisins (Doctor recommended and I have to get my fiber) and Oatmeal Crisp (this is for the supposed heart health benefits). Anyways I am getting burned out by the same old thing. Can anyone suggest alternatives to these that would be similar in taste, fiber and "heart healthy". Thanks in advance.

I love Bob Red Mill's Muesli w/ coconut or almond milk. I mix them together in the morning and it's perfect when I get to work or let it sit for 30 minutes. No need for sugar or any other sweetener needed. Yummy!

If you're getting burned out by the same old thing, why are you looking for something similar in taste?

Quaker Oatmeal Squares which come in a few varieties: plain, cinnamon, golden maple, honey nut.

I much prefer real actual oatmeal with raisins, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter.

A few that haven't been mentioned yet...

Steel cut oats - like Anon mentioned but even heartier and there are recipes for making it in a jar overnight if you're into that

Frosted mini wheats and shredded wheat - I mix them so it's not too sugary. Or you can have just plain shredded wheat and slice fresh strawberries into it. Blueberries too.

Alpen - another muesli cereal. They make a no added sugar one but I like the original best. It has malt powder on it that really adds mmmmmm to it.

Hot oatmeal with a pat of butter. It's my breakfast almost every day. You could add raisins, walnuts, etc. if you wanted.
