I hate cold food, so I don't eat salad in general, unless there's no other warm veggie option around. I'd rather eat a stir fry veggies platter, or steamed broccolis, or something warm than salad.
I buy spring mix every week, it's usually good for at least two "entree" salads and two "side" salads. Once in awhile I'll get a fifth small serving in a bowl before it turns mushy (the red stuff always gets mushy after 4 days, has anyone noticed that?)
Longevity in the family? Less aging diseases or conditions? Less/no cancer? Again just curious (trying to find evidence for the theory that kale is good )
If I had a personal chef and buyer that went out and bought the salad and made it and presented it to me, I would have no problem eating it like 5 days a week.
A few times a week, more in summer when the farm stands are open.
I work in NYC, where there are the ubiquitous pay-by-the-pound salad bars in delis, so it makes it easy to get a good salad without the tedium of chopping everything yourself.
It's not something I love naturally, and sometimes I have to force myself to eat salad, but once I get started on it I usually do enjoy it. Looking at leaves and raw vegetables just doesn't set off the "Oh yum!" factor in me.
