Red Robin now offers the Red Ramen Burger nationally. It's a burger with fried ramen instead of a bun. Okay, who has tried this thing, and how is it?

I remember hearing about a Ramen Burger fad a while back, but it didn't seem to gain any traction where I live.

What? Why? Why, God, why? Dried ramen makes a big mess.

Look at their promotion for April 19. Apparently, the burger is targeting the college crowd.

It doesn't sound appealing. For me, the bun is the platonic ideal of burger delivery systems.

My 20-year-old loves to snack on ramen, but it does make a big mess. Little bits go everywhere. This sounds terrible. Maybe seasoned ramen "fries" instead.

Saw one today at a Japanese restaurant, and didn't know what it was.

I assume they have been deep fried with some sort of a binder but I agree with you. Plus, OMG it just doesn't sound like something I would want to even try. A bun is meant to hold the sandwich together. This would be like making a burger and using potato chips instead of the bun.
