And with the lefse there must be lutefisk. When I lived in New Mexico I had some delivered from Morey's in Motley, Mn. Expensive, but worth it.
Oh man, you two had to bring up lefse...Can it be Christmas again soon?! I just got a lefse craving. What do you put in yours? We do butter and sugar, sometimes cinnamon sugar. We also eat them with our Swedish Meatballs and lutefisk... I stuff the lefse with lutefisk, potatos and gravy so that I can't taste the lutefisk! ;-)
While at a festival in the Azores, I was introduced to barnacles. Yes the barnacles that are scraped off of ships. They are actually good and they were the first thing I would look for at any festival.
In Michigan we have Faygo, a type of cheap but addicting pop, and Vernor's... the best ginger-ale ever that will cure the build-up from post-dasal drip with just 2 tablespoons swalled slowly. I have occassionally seen Vernor's elsewhere.... it's good mixed with ice cream, instead of milk, to make a shake
I think have seen Faygo somewhere...
North and South Carolina have Cheerwine.

But I saw this stuff when I was in Ohio too.
