I used to go through up to 2 gallons of milk by myself per week. At the time I was into running so I didn't gain weight from it. Gradually I got down to 1 gallon, and now about 1/2 per week.

But, I still love it to the point of feeling like it's an addiction. Usually the 1/2 gallon is gone in 2-3 days so I am without it for a majority of the time.

Like now. Just thinking of having a 12 oz glass of whole milk chilled to 40 degrees give me cravings. The first drink after several days tastes so damn good that I usually drink a quart immediately.

I think it's the sugar/fat combination of milk that I crave, since I'm trying to keep a slight caloric deficit going for several months. My diet is pretty good otherwise so maybe milk is my way of cheating.

I'm with you on the milk craving. I won't drink it for a while, or I'll drink skim milk, and I'll suddenly crave a glass of the good stuff.

If y'all can still drink it without stomach upset, good for you!

I never liked milk much because all we ever had as kids was skim. Now that I can buy the good stuff, I can't seem to digest it anymore.

Try Fairlife Milk. It has less sugar, carbs and is higher in protein than regular milk.

I don't drink as much of it as I used to but I can't give it up completely. I love milk.

I've never been a fan, even when I was a little kid. My mom would try to get me to drink milk, and then find abandoned glasses of milk all over. Every now and again, I will want a very cold glass of milk, but it's maybe once every couple of years. Now, chocolate milk is another story. I just like chocolate.

Seems to me there's a LOT of worse things you could be drinking! I thank you, drinking milk keeps my husband employed.

We love milk, and all the great things that milk can make-cheese. I drink half and half in my coffee, and we cook with butter. Sour cream is awesome on baked potatoes, I guess we just can't do without milk. Thankfully, neither one of us have any intolerance of milk.

But we do drink nut milks too, just because we like them. But I don't think I'll be putting them on my cereal anytime soon.

Mrs. Cool, you are quite welcome. My wife and I definitely contribute to your husband's job
