NY Seltzer root beer is my favorite clear soda. I remember not liking Crystal Pepsi.

I remember that too well. They were selling it at every liquor store in the 'hood back then.

Nowadays you can find it at your local 99-cent store. Now I won't even mess with it like back in the day, because the only soda I drink is Sprite or its Tropical (Re)Mix counterpart.

I actually picked up a bottle yesterday to see if it was as bad as I remembered..

Actually was a little better.. It did legitimately taste like Pepsi. I don't recall it tasting anything like Pepsi when it originally came out.

I loved Crystal Pepsi back in the 90s when it first came out, so I was excited to see that it was going to be released again. I bought one and was rather disappointed. I don't remember it being so sickeningly sweet as it is now. I could barely finish the bottle. Odd too because other drinks that have made a comeback (like Surge) taste exactly the same to me.

I do still remember with fondness the commercial for Crystal Pepsi with the Van Halen song. Those were the days!

Why don't they just bring back the original Coke, which actually had cocaine in it? I bet that really gave people a "jolt!"
