It depends on the food. I'm neither anti-cold nor anti-hot.

Everyone has their thing, I guess. I like both cold and hot food. That applies to sandwiches. Some foods are good either cold or hot. Grilled sausages are just as good cold as they are hot. Same for a lot of pizza. I don't know why. Grilled salmon and chicken are both good cold in salads.

One thing, though: I like COLD or HOT food. It makes me mad to see a beautiful, expensive piece of something nice animal that died, cooked to perfection on a grill, then left to sit on a serving platter for a half an hour until it's room temperature. I have been at so many dinners where a beautiful meal is served at lukewarm temperature, which really takes away from it (IMO).

I like my bread toasted, but everything else cold. That is the case with cold cuts/deli meat, anyway. If I'm having a chicken cutlet sandwich, for instance, I like everything hot.

Some sandwiches are just meant to be toasted. Like a BLT, Philly cheese steak, really anything with a lot of meat and cheese. Sandwiches with mostly veggies are just better cold. Of course this is all personal preferences. Often I will request the bread to be toasted but everything else to be added cold after.

I really miss Quiznos. Unfortunately the only closest one went under due the owner committing fraud.

I could live on cold sandwiches, In Southwest Florida it's not that easy to find good bread.
A good sandwich needs good bread, Sure Publix has some decent bread but it seems they lack in consistency so it's a hit or miss type thing.. The last thing I want is a soft or soggy crust though some prefer it that way..

I did not give the father snark, I asked him what he wanted first that's when he answered " I don't like sandwiches" and then asked me for pickles. He asks for pickles every time he comes in with the son which is once a week. Anyway thanks for the responses I was just curious of everyone's preferences. BTW I like both hot and cold sandwiches.
