I think what they mean by "crunchy" is a firm flesh inside.

I so dislike it when I buy grapes, get them home, wash them and pop one into my mouth and it's mushy inside. Crunchy and not too sweet is what I like in a grape.

With the insecticide chemicals they (might) spray on grapes, I don't test them in the store first.

You've all peeked my curiosity. I'll buy a handful next time I'm in the store.
Very taut skin on the outside, firm flesh on the inside.

The best grapes I ever had are pink muscat. They come out in April only.
I said "white muscat" above - but you are correct - they are pink muscat. Just delicious.

My kids bother me about buying them all the time - but as you say, they have a very short season.

So, see if your grocer carries Moon Drop grapes.

Moon Drop grapes
Yesyesyes.

Along with, as someone else mentioned, those Cotton Candy grapes. Could. Not. Stop. Eating them. But they're no longer on the shelves, so I'm glad I grabbed some.
