Unfortunately it's only up north, and only for a limited time.

McDonald's is finally serving waffle fries - AOL Food

McDonald's just introduced a holiday menu that includes new items like waffle fries!

However, you can only get them if you head up north.

They also have garlic fries (Gilroy Garlic Fries) here in the Bay Area. Not sure if these fries have gone to other markets or not. They are expanding their french fry line for different tastes.

Yep! Took all of four minutes after your post, lieqiang.

I wish we'd get to try something different around here. Garlic fries are great--I bet the McD ones are awesome.

I'm not sure what they could do to personalize their menus in my area. Astronaut fries? Rodeo McRibs? Oil & Gas Burgers?

I love a Filet-o-Fish sandwich (minus the cheese) and an order of fries.

They do have a Texas Burger in their Japan locations.

Id order them- unsalted so that way they are actually hot and fresh. Just saying " I want them fresh" isnt good enough, say " no salt" and they will make you a literal fresh batch.

On the rare occasion I go to McD's, I do a similar thing with hamburgers.

When I place an order, I ask for NO onions and they have to cook a fresh burger. They aren't allowed to scrape the onions off pre-made burgers because of allergies. Works for me! (if you love onions, then ask for something else to be omitted)
