Scraper,

In and around Knoxville and one in Mississippi. "Great" is relative to whom is saying it, no?
I've never had a decent eating experience in a Waffle House and great is not the word I'd use.
Pam

I like Waffle House, but LOVE Bojangles. Our high school was right by one and that was the place to be during lunches junior and senior year!

Haven't been to a Waffle House in years, buy I can still taste their hash browns. Awesome! And I really like their thin greasy cheeseburgers!

Both are less then 2 miles from our home. We won't waste our money, we eat at home and know what we are eating.

I'm glad there are places like Waffle House that are open 24 hours. If I get hungry on a 3 am road trip in the middle of nowhere I'd rather do Waffle House than a burger joint. Special trip to go to Waffle House? No. Their waffles aren't even that good; and if you're going to name the place after a product - you'd better damn well do it right. Hash browns - extra crispy. That doesn't sound like it would be too hard does it? Waffle House can't get it right.

Bojangles - not much different from KFC/Popeyes, really. Industrial chicken. Good biscuits. Also not worth a special trip.

Never been to a bojangles. This is the first time I've actually lived around one. It kind of just looked like another fast food place to me though so I haven't raced over to try it. I've eaten at a Waffle House once and I think that will be the last time. The food was so greasy and heavy. I was feeling it for the next two days after eating it!

I grew up in the burbs of Houston and therefore know Waffle House well. I've noticed they are not really in any urban areas, so perhaps twice a year or so, usually on trips somewhere in the South, I'll go to Waffle House. The zillion different ways to eat hash browns are always awesome. smothered and Covered!
