I got invited to a couple new years eve parties...

I may pay a visit and have a drink or two with some appetizers- I will bring some bambi-bangers (venison sausage)
the invite came from a good friend that brews his own beer (he has a brew supply business)
we will indulge in a couple beers...that's my limit

ill be home early I don't like being on the road after 9 even tho I'm out in rural country

and we will indulge in some bacon wrapped scallops and go outside in the hot-tub..... and light off some fireworks

New Years Eve is heavy appetizers and champagne or drink of choice.

New Years Day is Ham, plus black eyed peas (for coins in the new year) and turnip greens (dollars in the new year).

Sides of corn bread and onions/southern chow chow for topping the black eyed peas/greens.

Pecan pie for dessert.

I make pizza rolls on New Year's Eve usually, and this year I'll also be making hot artichoke dip. Hubby will be making dark chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. This is just what I've planned so far, I usually have way too much food.

We do the neighborhood NYE party. Open house from 6pm to 10pm. (It's mostly 55+ so nobody stay up until midnight anymore.) It's potluck, finger foods. This is our third year doing it, and I stopped making ANY food after the first year. Now we just buy wine and soft drinks and everyone else brings the food.

70 plus people in a 2000 square foot house. Scary.

New Year's Day? Beats me, but I'm sick of cooking. Maybe Chinese take out.

New Years Eve, we will be entertaining at home. It will be a potluck, we will prepare appetizers: chicken wings, egg rolls, sliders, veggies, cheese and potato chips.
