I wish I knew. It very well may be some kind of delivery. I was sitting here happily working away, when the phone rang, and husband's buddy was calling to see if husband wanted to help him today on a garage door job. So he was out the door in a flash. I feel like I should take it personally, but frankly, I don't - togetherness, while a wonderful thing, gets REAL FREAKING OLD when he's pretty much retired, and I am working at home all day. He does go in the garage, just not for long enough periods of time!

If we DO order out, I want to try the Mexican place down the road - they are very popular in my area and they just started doing delivery!!!! I am very happy about that - and I have a taste for fajitas!

Thank you!
So shouldn't keep it soaking until it's the final soft texture then, but remove it from the water a bit earlier than that?

Sounds like my DH. I ask him to do a job around the house and he answers, "I put it on the list." But let a pal call him for help and he's gone right now. Must be some kind of retired husband disease.

Well, today he decided on what's for dinner. He got the Easter ham and bone out of the freezer and put it in the crock pot with navy beans. Lots of fussing around and big production in the kitchen.

I know it'll be good.

I'm going to go out and check on the rhubarb. Think it might be time to bake a pie.

Tonight's dinner

The husband made buffalo shrimp with cucumbers and celery, blue cheese for dipping. Oh and a Red Stripe to drink.

Oh great, now it's hubby's turn to make dinner. boooo! :P

His plan is cauliflower 'rice' and broccoli. Usually when he makes this, he makes so much of it that this is all we eat for breakfast and dinner for at least 3 days. But I've gotten him to agree to only make enough for tonight, cause we're going out to eat tomorrow before a game we're going to.

Oh my god that looks incredible. Did you deep fry this, pan fry, or bake?
