We all went out to eat. Specialty burgers, cheese steaks, chicken tenders, salads, onion ring, fried pickles, fried jalapenos, fried mushrooms and french fries.
Tonight we're having spinach, bacon and mushroom lasagna in a white sauce heavy with garlic (I don't dare breathe on anyone); garlic/dill bread sticks, a nice Sauvignon blanc and old-fashioned schoolhouse butter cookies for dessert.
I still have some leftover pulled pork. My husband requested I turn it into a "shepherd's pie". So I will! I will also make green beans simmered up with fat back in chicken broth.
