We found a great deal on prime rib. The husband made that tonight with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans cooked with fat back and freshly baked bread
We had " the big sandwich". Cold cuts, cheese, lettuce, tomato etc on Italian bread. We have never found a real hoagie here in the middle, so we make do as best we can.
We had an Italian supreme style Sub. Had lots of cold cuts and cheese and a nice good drizzle of creamy Italian dressing. Easy simple quick dinner. Didn't feel like doing the whole cooking thing tonight.

Honestly, I believe it is the bread - and a dash of nostalgia The other ingredients - good quality cheese and coldcuts, oregano etc are easily duplicated. The mister and I are both from PA and this is something we both miss. The only places I have had good hoagies from, other than PA , NY and New Jersey, had the rolls shipped in from Philly.
