We had an Italian supreme style Sub. Had lots of cold cuts and cheese and a nice good drizzle of creamy Italian dressing. Easy simple quick dinner. Didn't feel like doing the whole cooking thing tonight.

Still tasting the pepperoncini in my mouth as I write this.

What are the characteristics of a "real hoagie?" Inquiring minds want to know!

Honestly, I believe it is the bread - and a dash of nostalgia The other ingredients - good quality cheese and coldcuts, oregano etc are easily duplicated. The mister and I are both from PA and this is something we both miss. The only places I have had good hoagies from, other than PA , NY and New Jersey, had the rolls shipped in from Philly.
