We had a nice run with the tomatoes again this year. It helped that fall weather didn't arrive until just now.

Haven't decided yet what's for dinner tonight. Something with chicken, I think.

Bit of an odd dinner tonight, but quick: baked Parmesan chicken tenders with marinara sauce for dipping, zucchini fritters, celery stuffed with homemade pimento cheese, oatmeal raisin cookies.

All that talk on another thread of American-Chinese food made me crave it. So we had take out for dinner. Pu Pu platter, Singapore noodles and Peking raviolis. I forgot how much they give you. It's looking like tomorrow's dinner too.

A woman from my church bought me cabbage potato soup, an onion pie, home made soft pretzels, and and apple cake.

I am so thankful. She's a lovely older woman in her late 70s who immigrated to the US from Germany after WWII.

She also bought some gurstwein. (sp)
