I am standing today in the kitchen baking savory cookies and other cookies.

So for tonight I took green lentil soup out of the freezer served with naan, homemade yogurt, lime pickles, onion and tomato slices. To drink lassi. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

This week the grapefruits were not on sale but oranges were instead.

A few days ago, I said I was making seafood pasta, but I didn’t. Tonight, I’ll use up a few stray scallops and a bag of shrimp and whip some up.

Since I have so much cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc to do before Thanksgiving it will be easy dinners this week. Tonight I will use store bought crust and sauce to make pizza. I will make one pepperoni and one with prosciutto and artichoke hearts.

I almost forgot I took a picture of last night's New England boiled dinner while it was on the stove!

Well, there is a pan of sloppy joe's on the stove, so I assume we're having them. Which is good - I like them.

Tonight's dinner is slow cooker lamb shanks in a red wine sauce with roasted potatoes,
maple-glazed carrots and Parker House rolls - chocolate pudding for dessert.
