what is your opinion on a community college culinary course as opposed to a culinary institute?
has anyone taken a course in culinary at a cc?

anyone know someone that went to a community college for the culinary arts instead of an institute who then opened an eatery?

Depends on the school. I know that University of Las Vegas has a great culinary school which produces a number of great chefs in the area. (Guy Fieri on the food network went to school there.) The culinary school at Sante Fe CC college is also an excellent school. I haven't gone to either, but I"ve taken classes thru them as a recreational cook. But I've looked into them for other reasons.
