I will never try one of those drinks. I've read too much about them....how bad they are for you.

I drink these drinks:

FRS Healthy Energy, Healthy Energy Drink

Since I don't drink Red Bull often, those drinks bring me up abruptly and then drop me down and make me tired - all in one evening or day. I don't know what it is about those. And to me, the Monster drinks and the Rock Star drinks taste terrible.

If you want to feel consistently good without a huge lift and a huge drop, I suggest the FRS. But that's just my preference. I think they really help one feel good if you're feeling especially crummy.

Love them - but Red Bull is too expensive. I moved over to Venom Energy (Low Carb). I get them for $1.39 each - but - and this is true addicition my friend - the grocery store manager holds a case for me! No more than 2 a day or I won't sleep either.

The smell alone from energy drinks makes me want to vomit, and the taste is even worse. I know why people drink them, but I am not sure how anyone can stand the taste of this stuff.

I don't see how consuming more than one a day, if even that much, could in anyway contribute to a healthy mind or body. High blood pressure, sleep depravation, panic attacks, anxiety, not feeling 'right' without it (addiction), all of the various stimulants, the amount of sugar, and a few others all to point to this stuff being bad news. Not to mention the ones that are loaded with B vitamins; google B vitamin overdose for ideas on why it is not a good idea.

If you are into it, that is your life and I am not knocking it. Just don't be surprised when you will need a prescription for anti-anxiety medication in a few years.

Enjoy.

I once binged on Redline for several days. Redline makes all other energy drinks seem ineffective. It's the closest thing to amphetamines that is legal to pick up at a gas station (it's restricted to people 18+ in some states). It's essentially a weight loss supplement that works by the "shiver response" (shivering burns calories). Everytime you eat something, you shiver for about 15 minutes; and then you have to go to the restroom. I haven't touched the stuff for months now. Don't really need it.

Drink at your own risk.
