A quick google search shows Spectrum Organic which doesn't seem to have preservatives listed in the ingredients. I've seen it locally but never tried it.

Best Foods/Hellmans also seems to make one specifically labeled organic that doesn't have preservatives listed.

I've tried a couple other brands in the past and the taste is a bit different than "traditional" mayo. Not awful - just not familiar. YMMV.

I haven't seen Dukes since I left the south .

The recipe the poster gave about drizzling the oil in VERY SLOWLY is that same my late mom in law used to make back in Holland . Its really very good , I sub lemon juice for the vinegar and a friend from Spain who subs lime juice for the vinegar , so there are several ways to try that good base recipe .

Another vote for making your own mayo. You can add herbs or spices for a variety of great flavors. If you are nervous about salmonella from fresh eggs, use Egg Beaters, the pasteurized egg product in the dairy case at the supermarket.

You realize Hellmen's is Duke's right? They just call them different names in the different regions.

Different ingredients, so they aren't the same.

I'm confused. I'm pretty sure Hellmen's is Best Foods (Best Foods on the West Coast, Hellmen's on the East). Dukes is a separate company.
