I know spicy can be good for you, but even a little black pepper on my food "burns". I like salt on bland type foods. A little spaghetti sauce is okay, nothing spicier. I live in Colorado where everyone likes the Tex-Mex type foods. I guess I'm pretty much alone in this.

Sorry, I'm a spice junkie .... not always necessarily "hot", but love garlic, rosemary, basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, curry, pepper, chiles, etc.

I'm with you. Things labeled "mild" are too spicy for me! Although I do like garlic & onions but I don't consider those spicy or hot, just tasty!

I don't like anything spicey either. Example - I've never had a taco, chili...etc....they just smell gross and look nasty! I love pasta - mashed potatoes - and gravy on everything! Lots n lots of gravy!

Oh man...food would be boring without some zing to it. I love all sorts of hot sauces and zesty spices. Wasabi, pepper, horseradish, chilis, et cetera. They make my mouth happy!

My husband likes food mild and my daughter and I prefer it spicy.

So I try to make food "medium" which is too spicy for my husband and too bland for us.

Oh well so much for the happy medium!

I love spicy food. Texas Pete Hot Sauce is my all-purpose sauce.

I love spicy. Over the years, eating Indian and other hot / heavily-spiced foods has made me much less sensitive to spiciness, though my sinuses still get cleared.

The hotter the better here. My sister will refuse all food with black pepper simply because it's too hot. This is beyond me.

If it's any consolation, you're not alone! I hate garlic and onions, too. I do eat cooked onions, but never raw. Garlic I can sniff in miniscule amounts! Thank goodness everybody's afraid of lawsuits here. In restaurants I just tell them I'm allergic to it to make sure I don't get it in any shape or form.

Btw, I don't see how spicy is "good for you"... Some people just like it even though it's bad for them. My Mom had stomach problems and yet ate hot peppers (similar to the chilies here) simply because she liked them being fully aware stomach pain will follow... Can't begin to imagine what's so attractive about them, but for instance I'm a smoker and enjoy my smoke, so whatever floats your boat, I guess.
