The Tumalo Cattle Company here in Tumalo Oregon does a killer hot fudge cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

They are famous for their Rocky Mountain Oysters. Other side are good: baked beans and onion rings, made there, not frozen or canned.

Of course people are going there for the steaks, and it doesn't cost like eating at McDonald's

We had a Westside Cafe that made the very best blueberry muffins in the entire world, but they sold it and the new owners changed the recipe and the cafe actually went out of business as the regular customers stopped going when the attached bakery went downhill.

My opinion, if you want good sides, you have to go someplace that costs more than a fast food drive-through. Although Burgerville makes a very good Marionberry shake with real ice cream and they do a great fresh made Walla Walla Sweets onion ring

I used to work as a server, you wouldn't believe the number of adults who asked if they could have cake/pie/ice cream as one their sides. Then they'd be confused when I would tell them know, and it would end up being a 5 minute conversation as to why desserts are not considered a side.

Since this is a nationwide forum, you're asking which chain restaurant has the best sides. In my town we are blissfully free of chains. Almost.

WHen I was a kid I used to LOVE going to Ryan's for their sweet dinner rolls.
Mmmm....

My diet has significantly adjusted as an adult to a healthier one but I'll be damned if I don't love Checker's french fries.

Man, do I miss Bojangles chicken & biscuit.

I like Cracker Barrel's cornbread and fried okra. Five Guys has good french fries and then of course there is the Bloomin Onion from Outback although that might be an appetizer rather than a side.

I LOVE fried okra and have found Cracker Barrel's to be kind of hit and miss.... even when I go to the same location....

Cracker Barrel in general seems rather hit and miss. I still like it overall but there are plenty of times where it's not as fresh as it should be, their fried okra included. Although, I have yet to find any place with fried okra as good as what my mom used to make (before her diet).
