What is the difference between these products? Also, what are the general uses?

Don't forget Cream of Coconut, the sweetened version of coconut cream.

Consistency is the key. Coconut water is clearish. It's supposed to be a refreshing drink. Coconut milk, looks like different thicknesses of milk. The canned version is like heavy cream. The carton versions are the consistency of skim or almond milk. Coconut milk is good for sauces (use canned), or adding flavour to rice (use carton).

I've never used coconut cream for cooking, but in conjunction with skin or hair products. I can imagine you can bake with it or make ice cream.

Coconut water = drink

Coconut milk = use to make curry (combine with curry paste). Keep in mind that there's a low-fat version (it says so on the can), that's much thinner in consistency. You *can* taste/feel the difference in the curry.

Coconut cream = I've added a bit of this to my coconut milk/curry paste mixture. It's richer than the full-fat version of coconut milk. To me it's the difference between using half-and-half in your coffee vs. heavy cream.

MY SIL swears by it. She uses it on my niece and nephews after their bath. They are 5, 3 and 7 months old. I have never tried it on my skin but I did cook with it once.

For toothpaste: I melt about a half cup of coconut oil, mix in a tsp of baking soda and 1 tsp of almond flavoring to enhance the taste of the B. soda, and let it harden in a tupperware container. Then give it a good stir.
I use about a tsp to brush my teeth. NOTE: don't scrub too hard, the baking soda is abrasive.

After using it faithfully every day for three months, my dental hygienist told me that my plaque wasn't as heavy as usual. Yay~!

Coconut CREAM seems to come in a can. I used some recently to make non dairy creamsicles. It looks like regular cream, really thick. Good stuff if you're allergic to dairy products--you could probably make pretty good ice cream from it.

Coconut OIL is something else. People cook with it and it has other uses--some here said they brush their teeth with it or use it as a face lotion.

Coconut water--thin and clear, makes a refreshing summer drink.

Coconut milk--there is actual, real coconut milk that comes from the coconut but there is also a beverage called coconut milk that comes in a carton and can more or less be substituted for regular milk.
