I haven't been able to eat oysters since. I'm the same way with gin after getting violently ill on it as a teen.
I've had gin three times and was violently ill each time. It took me a while to put it together.. shame because I am not much of a drinker, and gin is one of those that I really liked. You are the first person I've heard of who had the same reaction to it as I did.
Turnips. Unpleasant, bitter-tasting vegetable. My sister loved them because my mother mixed them with applesauce to add sweetness, but I still wanted to spit them out.
Every so often I try them again just to see, but no.
"Canned asparagus." I can't imagine it. I mean, could there be an easier-to-cook vegetable? Canned asparagus has no reason to live.
I agree with this. I don't think I've ever actually eaten canned asparagus, though. Fresh or frozen, but not canned. Why WOULD someone can it? Must be mushy. Yuck.

On that note, spinach is another vegetable that should NEVER see the inside of a can. BLEH! It;s like green slime.

Guys, it wasn't the gin, you just got a bad bunch of limes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
