English peas from a can. The smell is nauseating to me.

I once sat at the dinner table for 5 hours testing my fathers will to make me eat them. He finally gave up lol.

I just tested one of my old nemeses, Lima beans. Or, more properly, butter beans.

I still hate them. Guess that will never change at this point.

I make a creamy ham and Lima bean soup (using the large, white variety) that is crazy-good. It has converted a few people.

I'm with ya on that...when I was young and at my aunt's (city people) she melted some margarine in a pan preparing to saute something. I couldn't imagine why she was going to cook something in what smelled like a dirty diaper.
