Have you had baby limas? I could never stand lima beans or butter beans, even though I love most other beans. Too chalky, pasty, and bland. But I only ever was served large ones, big offenders in the texture department. My husband had me try baby limas with dill and butter, and they were much, much better.

Thanks for the tip! I was talking to my husband about this last night and I do want to try again, especially since he really likes them.

It's also funny how many of my favorite foods have ended up on so many poster's gag lists, like spinach, mushrooms, olives, turnips, squash, lemons, tofu, mustard, onions....LOL Sadly I have to break down and make two dinners every once in a while so that I can have foods my husband can't stand, like tofu, mushrooms, artichokes and chickpeas.

Flavored water (but flavored seltzer is fine)
Energy drinks
Tequila
Kidneys
Tripe
Egg salad
Peas
Kale
Lima beans

Though there is one exception to the last of these. Really liked the tok sel lima beans at the Mayan Cafe in Louisville, KY. One of the biggest and most pleasant food surprises ever for me.

Edit: add goat anything, including goat cheese, goat meat, goat milk. Also not a fan of any meat that's too gamy in general.

Some of these lists leave me wondering - WTH do you eat? lol

The only food I really do not like and never eat is parsnips. My gram served them when I was a child and I don't remember the taste but I do remember thinking how anything named parsnips could be edible. Fortunately, that's not a vegetable served often in my circle so not a problem.

Fish with the skin on it or bones still intact
Most types of potato salad, all egg and ham salads
sauerkraut
Pears & Apples- I like the flavor, but the texture is really off- putting
Eggplant- also a texture thing

Liver --seems like one of the most widely disliked foods!
Mushrooms -- specifically the white button type. Most other mushrooms are okay.
Raw tomatoes -- but they are fine when cooked.
Oatmeal and other hot cereals -- it's the texture.
Runny eggs -- again, the texture and a mental block.
