The blood of a jug does not make any way near as good a sauce though ! As pesky as those rabbit /hare bones can be , jug sherds are even worse on dental work !

Fricasseed rabbit is generally the first item on the menu.

Always ham and a bird. Shrimp and steaks on the grill. It's a real mixed bag. Vegetables vary depending on what's good to pick up, but probably glazed carrots, brussel sprouts and asparagus. I personally love a clove-studded ham with pineapple and glazed with honey and mustard...but it always gets baked plain for everyone's taste. I'll make a mustard sauce as a condiment. We'll have figs stuffed with smoked almonds and wrapped in Genoa salami as part of a cold plate, like an antipasto platter. It's quick and convenient. Our starch is plain rice and mashed potatoes. We'll have guacamole too, since avocados are plentiful now, probably for the shrimp to go with the antipasto.

We'll be having two kinds of tiramisu, one espresso and the other goat cheese/fig. It's so much easier than cheesecake and can serve so many people. Homemade sandwich cookies too. Another holiday. But it's a long stretch to July 4th unless Memorial Day turns into a get-together, and that's off and on. Mother's Day and Father's Day are variable too.

Um, probably a pizza or BLT's. Or maybe some pasta. That's all I have in the house right now, and I don't even know when Easter is exactly--it changes from year to year. They can't say it falls on this Sunday of April or March. But if it's next weekend, yeah, I don't got anything special planned.
