I use cherry craisins (dried cherries) as well as regular craisins in homemade cranberry sauce.
I like the dried blueberries in yogurt.
They're good in "wrap" type sandwiches, too.
Example:
Spinach-flavored tortilla filled with turkey, shredded arugula and/or romaine, craisins, Havarti cheese.

Has anyone tried them in muffins as a substitute for cranberries? I just bought a huge bag at sams for my son and I need to use them up before they go bad.

i dont see why you couldn't. and maybe if you put them in water they will rehydrate a little and then you can throw them into the batter.

Thanks. I was thinking about trying it. Putting them in water sounds like a good idea.

They're yummy. Actually just bought some today to put in a salad I saw on Down Home with the Neely's on Food Network (I like this show!). It's got a buttermilk/blue cheese dressing.

I tried them a few years ago and didn't really like them.

Can't stand raisins .. love craisins! Put them in my pumpkin bread, add them to carrot cake, on top of salads, added them to my grandchildren's lunch, in cookies ... oh, the list goes on and on. Also the blueberries and cherry ones, too !

I wonder why so many old threads are popping up today? I guess it is just a slow time and people are bored or something?
