The man who is credited with being the first to put pineapple on a pizza died yesterday. So on that somber occasion, a simple poll: do you like pineapple on pizza or not?

Interesting. Occasionally (as in rarely) and only w/ a little lean ham (hawaiian pizza, the first time we had it was years ago on Chr. eve when one of our kids worked at a pizza place), it was very good. Most of the time, I like plain cheese pizza best - maybe w/ mushrooms, sausage or meatballs, if I had to choose a topping.

There is a local chain that does a pineapple and capicola pizza. Every now and then, in the right mood, I will order it. My ten year old (AKA a complete food snob) gives me grief every single time. Says it's an abomination.

I would like to invent peanut butter on a pepperoni pizza.
I mean it.

No - I like pizza savory, neither sweet nor a combination of the two. Just savory.

But that's just a subjective preference.

I have never tried it. I like ham with pineapple, but I can't make friends with the thought of pineapple with tomato sauce. Do pizzas with pineapple have a tomato sauce base? I don't know. A white pizza with it, I'd consider.

I like it, my husband finds it an abomination.

Pepperoni and pineapple is a nice combination of sweet and spicy.

I ONLY eat pizza if it has pineapple on it!! (with one exception, the Mediterrano gourmet pizza from Spot Coffee Shops)

My usual combination is pineapple, sliced tomatoes and green olives. If I share with hubs, he gets the same PLUS anchovies on his half. I like anchovies but not with this taste combination.
