Looking for recommendations for brands of tea to make iced tea with in my iced tea maker. Black tea, not flavored and I drink it unsweet. Almost out of my current box of bags so figured I'd try something different.
I'm looking for something readily available at a supermarket, not something I have to order online or search around for. I am currently using teabags but loose tea is fine as I already use a filter because I toss in a bit of mint as well. (Do supermarkets even sell loose tea in canisters any more?)
I make several pitchers per week, and not looking for something fancy or fussy, just a good, basic black tea flavor.
I've been using Trader Joe's English Breakfast for years now. Before that, Twinings Ceylon. The TJ's tea is a lot less expensive and just as good, IMO. I drink it unsweetened, too.
I use red rose tea and they give you these lil miniatures in the tea box . I have been collecting those miniatures for quite a while . I think as far back as the 80s ... but yeah red rose tea is awesome ...
Call me lowclass but I LOVE Lipton's Cold Brew. Nice, smokey flavor.
I'm not going to call anyone low class but since I use a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker, I'm looking for regular tea, not cold brew.
And the box I'm finishing up is Lipton and it's a bland. My usual hot tea is Yorkshire Gold imported from England, but I found that was a bit too strong to have unsweetened and without milk even over ice. I just need that perfect in between! ( I should change my screen name to Goldilocks, I guess! lol!)

I have a Mr Coffee Iced Tea maker. I use Lipton tea in it. If you can, find the family size bags. They'll make a full two quarts. They also sell gallon size, which of course can make a full gallon of tea at once. The family size are fine, although I do use two at a time.
I've also found that putting a coffee filter in the basket helps slow the flow of water, getting more flavor from the bags.
Milo's has the best sweet tea around, and it's already in a gallon jug! Win-win!
