Let's assume starting today there would no longer be inspections at restaurants. Would you continue eating out just as often, less often, or stop eating out altogether?

If the food is great, and I personally never saw/experienced anything really worrisome - yes, I would.
You have no idea what is happening in the kitchens, behind the door, on a daily basis.

No, I wouldn't. I hope the unannounced inspections keep standards somewhat high. I only eat in real restaurants, not junk or chain places, if that helps. Mostly I simply cook at home.

You think nothing is ever happening in "real" restaurants? I know some posh places with problems, and some holes in a wall amazingly spotless, and up to every health code.

They will only pick their noses when the inspector isn't around lol I mostly cook at home, but it wouldn't stop me from going to certain places if there was no formal inspectors.

If I don't quit all together I would certainly cut WAY back. And I don't eat out all that often TBH.

Agree with you on that, elnina. I would probably just eat at restaurants where I knew someone working there (just 2 currently) or a friend had eaten there recently with no problems. Friends are the best guinea pigs.

I sure would. Prefer eating at home and bringing my own lunch anyways.
