With today being National Pasta Day, I thought it might be interesting to find out what everyone's favorite pasta was.

I have only one (although I do LIKE a few different ones):

Plain Old Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce (my recipe - in fact, I'm craving on it right now, but with me unable to cook, it's tough to get Mr2U to make it.)

How about you? What's your favorite pasta dish?

I love pasta !

Have hardly ate any in months and months. Been on a pretty big carb restricted eating program and pasta is a no no.

Sure do miss it though

favs are Fetticune Alfredo and simple spaghetti or Lasagna

Lots of more fancy dishes I like ... but I have simple needs and wants in the food dept

I think I'd go with plain old spaghetti myself. With plain old tomato sauce and garlic powder. And bread to go with it to sop up the sauce.

Now how come I did not know this??? I would have made pasta instead of potatoes. LOL. I love all kinds of pasta but my 4 favorites are:
Fettuccine alfredo
Spaghetti with homemade meat sauce
Penne Alla Vodka
Linguini with pesto.

Woohoo! I am making rotini and meatballs tonight!!

Ok back to the question. This is a really hard one. There are so many pasta dishes I love to cook and eat. My ultimate favorite though is a very simple dish of angel hair, butter, salt and pepper and crushed red pepper. Occasionally I grate some parmesan on top. This is pure comfort food for me. I have been eating it since I was a baby. Sad day? Bad day? Happy day? As long as I am cooking for just me I make this.

*Edit: I misspoke. I just opened the pantry and it will be rigatoni not rotini. It's all good, love them both!

I've been thinking about fettuccini alfredo for the past few days. I haven't had it in a couple of years. Mmmm. Cream. Cheese. Pasta. I need that.

Really? Oh, man, I missed the opportunity.

My favorite pasta these days is the homemade noodles at our favorite Italian place mixed with their awesome bolognese.
