I don't get the idea - what is it? A buffet table with different pizzas spread along it?
How many slices of pizza can one person even eat
Pizza buffets usually have pizza cut into smaller slices, so you can essentially get a sampler of different kinds while still eating the equivalent of a couple of slices.
I personally have never seen one and I grew up around Pizza Huts in town and never knew of this buffet option ?
You can order a take out pie anywhere in town and have a large pizza for less than 10 bucks and eat 1/2 and have the other 1/2 left over next days lunch or whatever
Who would pay $6-7-8 for an all you can eat pizza buffet when most likely you are full after 1/2 a pizza and you get no benefit of left overs ?
Pretty simple: have a salad, have a slice from three different types of pizza, maybe have some pasta.
Now, the math is simple addition and subtraction.

I disagree
if it was a proven business model that was profitable ... you would see them everywhere.
They are not very popular at all for a reason ... the math does not support the business model. ie: very little to NO PROFIT = doomed business concept

A) yes, including meaty, meatless, and dessert type
B) you'd be amazed
I wasn't aware the pizza buffet was dying out! Maybe pizza chains that offer buffets are what's fading away, due to bad management or buy-outs by other businesses or what have you. There's a new pizza buffet place right up the road from me -- they're busy as heck. I don't go there because their pizza is vile, but everyone else in the area is all over it.

Like I stated previously, go to a big college town and you'll find a pizza buffet.
