I buy my lottery tickets at a donut shop. I buy a lottery ticket only when the jackpot get SO high, it seems crazy not to. Then I buy the most amazing blueberry cake donut...

That way, when I lose, I still got a yummy donut. One of two donuts a year aren’t going to kill me.

Sure do, there are several bakeries around my area that offer vegan donuts.

Maybe once or twice a week.

Delish!

"Regularly" eat them? No.
Do I eat them if they are brought into work (aka free)? Yes. (Not Dunkin' Donuts, Tim Hortons, or other garbage. I'd rather eat the pre-packages Hostess powdered donuts!!)
Do I eat them if I pass my favorite donut shop (which I do not live very close to) in the morning and I have time to stop? Yes.
Do I eat them at a cider mill? Yes.

This adds up to maybe 5-6 times per year, at most. And a good 2-3 of those come in the fall

But honestly, if I had regular access to GOOD donuts, I'd probably eat them a bit more. Maybe once a month or so.

Next time I am at my local grocer I plan to ask them if they are making the donuts themselves - in house ?
If your grocer is a chain, then the baking is probably done at a central bakery and shipped in early in the a.m. Some of the doughnuts might even be a day old by the time you buy them, but I am only speculating.

In our area I understand that a large bakery does the baking for several commercial bakeries and also large chain store. But it might be different for doughnuts.

Yeah, I really didn’t realize that doughnuts were the devil until I read this thread. Newsflash: You’re going to die anyway so eat a doughnut if you want one.

Yessssss.

Grammy's Donuts here in my town, or Cops & Doughnuts when we go to Michigan. Both places are superior quality!

I only like two kinds: Raspberry Bismark with powdered sugar, or Custard Filled w/ chocolate glaze. Best served with good quality chocolate milk, such as Brown's Dairy.

I eat doughnuts about twice a year.

I only eat doughnuts in my zip code.

I eschew the others.

They show up at our office every few months or so. We work in a somewhat combined architecture/commercial interior design firm, where vendors constantly ply us with treats. I’ll definitely eat them, but where as in the past I would eat three or four I now eat three thirds of some donuts and still feel I’ve overindulgenced.

They are abundant here during certain holidays: Paczki for pre-Lent and sufganiyot for Hanukkah.

Yup, but only a few times a year because I hate to fill my body with such horrendous junk. The rest of the year I turn to pies, candy, and even Pop Tarts.
