My mother used to cook them when we were kids back in the 60's. She used to bread them and dance them around the kitchen counter for us. We ate them just fine and if I remember correctly they did taste like chicken. There's a restaurant around here that has frog legs on the menu once in a while, I'm going to order them the next time I go there.
Not to highjack this thread but one thing I have never tried is rabbit. Can't do it. My brother-in-law was raised on a farm and he loves rabbit and squirrel. Yikes! OK can't eat squirrel either.

If you fry them at home, watch out! The tendons in their legs contract and they can "hop" right out of the pan!!

I like them alot!
That's correct. I'd describe the taste as 90% chicken and 10% fish. The texture is similar to chicken, but the meat is somewhat tougher. He-he, this thread reminded me how long I haven't had froggie legs. I like them, too.

I agree.
I tried them only one time, but that's what I remember.

The one and only time I ate frog's legs they did taste like chicken.

So does alligator if memory serves.

By the way, if someone ate chicken for the first time what would they say it tastes like?

they would probably say it tasted like whatever they eat 80% of the time. we eat chicken so we say chicken. maybe they eat tarantula--so they may eat chicken and say "tatses like tarantula"--lol
