It was a variety of carry out from the local seafood place...low country boil, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes. Tonight leftovers.

Having daughter and son in law over for dinner tonight, so am making boneless chicken breasts in a wine and lemon sauce, rice salad that solved the problem of a salad and a carb in one dish and garlic fresh green beans. Of course plenty of wine to add to the evening. We will visit and watch to road to the final four, probably while eating. Of daughter and I will sit in the dining room visiting while the guys watch the game.

Probably frozen pizza. Our refrigerator stopped cooling and that's about the only thing in the freezer section that needs to be eaten right away. We'll bake two for lunch and then eat the leftovers for dinner. yay.

Change in plans since there was more defrosting in the dead freezer than I knew about. We are now having roasted shrimp, a lot of it, and some shumai that we made for Xmas.

Roasted Chicken with pan gravy, asparagus, and homemade spätzles with bacon and onions made with this little contraption.http://www.city-data.com/forum/membe...8-img-5439.jpg
Chocolate wafers for dessert.

My wife and my daughters are going to NYC tomorrow to catch the 'Downton Abbey' exhibit and a formal Tea afterwards

So, we are making a big pot of stuffed cabbage tonight to have ready for dinner tomorrow night when they return to Luke Manor...

I am a fan of Downton Abbey too, but the ladies in my life, my wife and my daughter and 2 step-daughters, will enjoy their time together...plus, I am not up for a pinky raising formal tea... got no white gloves...no siree!

I will be enjoying my 'straw Batchelor' time with my buddies...car show and lunch.

Feeling a little under the weather so I ordered a mushroom onion and pepper pizza for everyone else, and I'm making myself some carrot ginger soup.
