What's for Dinner? 2018 Edition (grill, mushrooms, pizza, tomatoes)

We had vegetable pakoras and samosas with tarmarind sauce and paneer/cheese tikka.Main dish was chicken tandoori, eggplant dish, potato/cauliflower curry,brown lentil daal/soup,chickpea dish,lamb curry and cucumber/mint raita,lime and mango pickles,red and Vidalia onion slices,plenty of chapatis and basmati rice.To drink lassi,beer,water.For dessert kheer/rice pudding and gulab jamun served with chai.

We went out, alleluja!

Texadelphia -- he had the pizza steak and I had the Texican (steak, onion, and jalapeno served with a side of queso).

I will have a granny smith apple and some lemon cake too.

Smoked BQ ribs, old fashioned potato salad, slaw with toasted almonds and cranberries, sour cream corn bread, carrot cake. Red wine, iced tea.

Was at a next door neighbor's casual backyard barbecue earlier. Two grilled hot dogs, potato chips and salad. Drank Lagunitas IPA.

Made some chicken schnitzel, sweet potato casserole, and a quinoa Brussel sprout salad.

Simple, wonderful and end of the summer dinner: grilled steak, grilled veggies, baked potato and green salad.

Tonight noodle casserole served with a mixed garden salad.To drink a glass of red local wine. For dessert watermelon,cantaloupe,honeydew melon fruit salad with fresh lime zest/juice and a bit of wildflower honey..

The turkey thread got me thinking about turkey. It’s “the last supper” around here, since I’m getting a knee replacement tomorrow, and dh will be in charge of KP, so I guess I’ll make a mini thanksgiving.

Turkey thighs, cranberry, stuffing, mashed potatoes and acorn squash.

It is just too hot and humid for my taste here. It takes away my desire to cook. I pulled a container of leftover beef stew of the freezer. That with some crusty bread will be dinner.
