I have a chicken breast that's stuffed with cranberry and apple stuffing that I got from a local butcher so I am cooking that tonight. They also have one stuffed with broccoli and cheese. It's big enough for 2 people but it's just me tonight so I'll have that Tomorrow as well. Major Snow storm arriving late tonight.

Tonight Moroccan green lentil and chickpea soup made in the slow cooker. Served with homemade yogurt. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

* I use fresh tomatoes and my own made vegetable broth without salt.Instead of red harissa I use fresh red chili peppers.

New Year's Day: Turkey soup made with the carcass and leftover meat from Christmas and homemade French bread.
January 2: Turkey (still left over), mashed potatoes, gravy, and carrots.
Tonight: spaghetti with some of the French bread.

Even sending soup into work with my wife there is plenty left and a second loaf of French bread in the freezer.

Recipe here.

Recipe makes 8 servings of 1.5 cups each, with a bit leftover.

We made it and I should have checked the quantity FIRST, half went in the freezer.

Tonight is braised short ribs, sauteed brussels with bacon.

It’s snowing in Savannah for the second time in 8 years. So pretty.

I think American Chop Suey sounds good for supper.

I happened to find a large [fresh] turkey breast marked down sale when I stopped at the store on New Year's Day. Grabbed it and cooked it overnight in the crock pot. Came out tender and delicious. We have been enjoying it this week!

Happy New Year everyone!

I said I was having stuffed chicken breast but decided I'll pick up pizza instead and have the chicken tomorrow. I'll cook it tonight though. Not feeling like chicken as I write this. LOL.
