This topic was inspired by the annoying jargon thread.

1. When a cook is mixing ingredients from one vessel into another and uses the term "dump"! If I was running the network I would fire anyone using this term during a cooking show!

2. When a cook sprinkles or adds a dry ingredient into a mixing bowl that already has mixed wet ingredients in it and drops the additions right on the handle of the spoon or spatula. Yes, I have OCD!

3. Underdressed show personalities. When I want to look at breasts I can just google them. Even yours Giada.

Could they just ONCE per show, wash their hands, with a comment about how important hygiene is?

Alcoholic drinks on every show, Valerie?!

Yeah, I don't think Eddie (Van Halen) is the only one with a drinking problem!

I'm with Debsi, but my biggest issue is with FoodTV being 85% freaking game shows. I learned to cook by watching that channel when I was stuck at home disabled for 18 months in 1998. It as life (and waist) changing!

And me and my fat are still miss those cooking lessons.

Quite a few make a point of washing their hands--that's something I tend to notice.

When they don't scrape out the bowl of batter or mixed food, they leave half of it the mixing bowl, that drives me mad, as I scrape every last bit out ( frugality).

Agreed. That's why I don't even subscribe to any food channels anymore. However, I saw an episode of Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party a few months ago. So much fun!!! I might subscribe just so that I can watch more of those.

I figure most of these omissions are just the time constraints of the programs. Plus it would be kinda boring watching someone scrape every last bit, though most of us do it ourselves!
