You may or may not know, if you cook for one person, it's actually cheaper to eat out than buying all ingredients and cook a dish at home, because all the ingredients needed.
I wonder if that phenomenon exists in cookies making, since it uses fewer ingredients?
Looks like the question of whether it's cheaper to cook at home is a major point of contention for some?!?!
That it is cheaper to eat out than cooking for one, was just a passing remark based on my own experience. Maybe it was the dishes I cook and/or the way I cook and/or my culinary lifestyle (cook one meal once in a while).
...and you get your money's worth. We usually pay between 4 an 5 dollars at a good bakery, and find it worth it.
BTW, for the Oreo lovers...store brand knock offs are about a buck a package. They are perfectly edible. You can even save more. To each his/her own.
