Southern California. Pomegranate trees are common here. There are three or four in the parking lot of my daughter's school!

We have them in south TX too. The ones that grow here are smaller than the huge ones you get at the grocery store, but taste the same.

Just one cup of sugar and they taste fine? I'll try cutting it back.

I tasted them and I found them still sweet enough.
Maybe try to reduce to 1 1/2 cup first and see if you like it.

BTW, for the Oreo lovers...store brand knock offs are about a buck a package. They are perfectly edible. You can even save more. To each his/her own.

LOL!!

An no, it's definitely not!

Edible maybe. But they taste like crap. Unless they are Trader Joe's brand. Those are pretty good.

Looks like the question of whether it's cheaper to cook at home is a major point of contention for some?!?!

That it is cheaper to eat out than cooking for one, was just a passing remark based on my own experience. Maybe it was the dishes I cook and/or the way I cook and/or my culinary lifestyle (cook one meal once in a while).

I take back that generalization. =)
