Best chicken around here is Smithfields.

True, you can't get wings at Canes, but for a couple of items, the menu is fundamentally the same, which I said originally.

"Completely different" would be comparing Zaxby's to McDonalds.

I definitely wouldn't characterize RC's and Zaxby's as "completely different."

For a "couple of items" the menu is the same as that of local catfish restaurant. That doesn't make their menus "nearly identical".

Go to Raising Cane's and order Onion rings, fried mushrooms, five piece extra hot wings, and a brownie. You'll get nothing but a confused look.

I'm not sure if you are being deliberately obtuse, or if your trolling. In case you are just a bit confused, some history might help.

When Canes opened in 1996 (as a blatant knockoff of Zax), Zax had been around for six years, and the only difference in the menu was that Zax had wings and canes didn't. Other than that, the menus were the same: Chicken Fingers, Crinkle Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Cole Slaw, and Special Sauce. Zax then added Tenders, Salads, some desserts, and additional sides, while Canes menu remained constant.

If that is "completely different" to you, fine. But I can't imagine anyone else would characterize that as "completely different."

I get it. I don't agree with your false assertion, so I must be trolling. I can't get extra hot wings, onion rings, fried mushrooms, and a brownie at Cane's. If they were "nearly identical" I could get at least a couple of those items.

100% of Canes menu is Zax menu. It takes a special kind of special to characterize that as “completely different.”

I like Zaxby's chicken better than RC or Chick Fil A because the coating/breading is crispier. RC's breading falls off the chicken. I like Chick Fil A's customer service. I like Slim Chicken's variety of dipping sauce choices (including gravy!) and the fact that they have a lot of sides you can substitute for fries - fried okra, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, mac and cheese, potato salad, side salad, etc. Zaxby's garlic bread is the best too, when it's fresh.

My local Zaxby's doesn't have very good customer service. They mess up my order almost every single time and they don't seem to really care that they can't get orders right.

If I could have Zaxby's chicken and garlic bread with Slim Chicken's dipping sauces and sides, RC's fries (crinkle fries, hot and crisp and freshly cooked, where Zaxby's aren't always) and Chick Fil A's customer service, that would be perfect.

Okay, let's see... I'm "obtuse", or I'm "trolling". Now, I'm a "special kind of special".

Heck, by your logic, the catfish restaurant down the street, that sells everything Cane's sells, also has a "nearly identical" menu.

Remember, a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't necessarily a square.

Anyway, I like Cane's, Zaxby's, AND Chick Fil A. They're all different, and they're all good.

BTW - my bicker alarm just sounded, so... "Heavens to Murgatroyd! Exit, stage left!"
