I have never been to New York city and have always wanted to try their legendary pizzas.

Even though it's probably just a limited promotion and never heard of this particular restaurant, still sounds great!

Attention Angelenos! You don't have to travel to the Big Apple to get a slice of fresh New York City pizza. JetBlue will deliver cheese or pepperoni pizza by plane to Los Angeles for less than $20 a pie.

Patsy's Pizzeria is a historic coal-oven pizzeria in New York City and is regarded as one of New York's original pizzerias as well as for its use of traditional New York style thin crust pizza.

But it’s something like a five hour flight from NY to LA. That wouldn’t qualify as fresh would it?

You'll be disappointed and call it overrated. I lived in NYC for 30+ years and been to LA and other places too. Good brick-oven East Coast pizza is my standard. I've met countless non-NYers eat NYC pizza the first time and they all said it didn't live up to the hype.

The article said they'll deliver to certain zip codes, so it'll work like any other pizza delivery. You order it, and as long as you are within their delivery zone, they'll bring it to your house.

I've heard people from NY/NJ who visited LA complain that the food there sucks, but can the pizza really be THAT bad that they'd prefer one made six or more hours earlier? That doesn't make sense.

If I'm in the area I'll often bring home a pie from my favorite place (about 17 miles away) around noon even though I don't plan on eating it 'til the evening and it reheats fine, even after a few hours on the counter. 'By the slice' places don't have time stamps on the pies that my sit a while before being ordered and they've always tasted finr to me.

That would be awesome! I wish they'd deliver to South Florida.

With all the New Yorkers in FLA I'm surprised you don't have a local pizzeria owned by some. I'm in coastal NC and we have a local store whose boxes proudly proclaim 'Yes, we really are from Brooklyn', GREAT pizza!
