I don't see why not. Here in the Seattle area (also pretty health concious like SF), donut shops seem to do just fine, and there's no shortage of excellent options - both in the city proper and the suburbs. So clearly even health-concious folks enjoy the occasional donut - everything in moderation, right?

Never got how Dunkin donuts became as popular as they are. Their donuts ain't got nothing on Krispy Kreme.

There is a lot of people loyal to their coffee. They also have other food aside from donuts, like breakfast sandwiches. I think they’re pretty good, and they are pretty much the only fast food breakfast place that has healthy options, which I appreciate.

Plus kids love the donut holes, does KK have those?

I don’t like Dunkin donuts donuts, however I never saw the big fuss about Krispy Kreme either. I don’t think either holds a candle to bakery donuts.

We love donuts here just like the rest of the country. If you're ever in San Francisco and you're in the mood for a donut, stop in at Bob's on Polk Street. They're legendary, and they're open 24 hours a day. Check out their Yelp reviews: https://www.yelp.com/biz/bobs-donut-...?osq=doughnuts

In N Out is definitely in the Bay Area. I just drove by one in Sunnyvale with cars lined trying to find parking spaces. Donut shops are all over the place, too.

Personally I would eat donuts every day if there were a donut shop close to my house.
Health-conscious? With all the **** and used needles and active drug users all over the place, I'd think a donut shop would be an oasis of sanity in SF.

The chain is based in the Southeast, a part of the country where too much salt, too much sugar and too much grease is often found in the same dish. And perhaps not coincidentally also a part of the country noted for bad teeth. But never fear, Krispy Kreme is sweet enough to make even the gums hurt.

Krispy Kreme is successful even in Asia (and Asians prefer things less sweet).
